CommTech Action

Collective action for the collective good.

A Web Walk is a weekly activity hosted by students, designed to explore what is new and innovative on the web. Pairs will research, present, and guide students through an interactive web walk, providing opportunities to explore subjects from all different areas and to educate others on them.

The subject or idea behind your Web Walk is your choice, however, it must be teacher approved one week prior to delivery and must not match another Web Walk. Every week, a different pair will host a 15 to 20 minute presentation of their Web Walk.

Tips to Get You Started

Tip #1 - Search For Meaning

Any action included in your CTA should have value for the participants and should link to you the theme of your week.  You never want to hear "why are we doing this?"
Tip #2 - Get Organized!

From your planning sheet to designating your hosting roles for your CTA week, make sure your group is organized by employing some solid communication skills.
Tip #3 - Out of Class

What actions does your CTA include that can be done outside of class.  Do they strengthen your theme and would you want to do them? (And has it been teacher-approved?)
Tip #4 - Be A Model

The enthusiasm and your participation in your own CTA will be contagious!  Be sure to show the class how to get involved in your actions by doing so yourself.
