Adding Custom Brushes

How to?

By the end of this tutorial, you will know how to add custom brushes into your Photoshop library. This will drastically improve the quality of work as there are thousands of high quality brushes available on the internet. Using a custom brush can make it seem like you did a lot of work when in reality you just clicked once. This is a very valuable and useful ability to have.

Instructions.

1. First download a custom brush from one of the many sites under Resources.

2. Extract and locate your custom brush file (.abr).

3. Open Photoshop.

4. Select the brush tool and then select the small arrow to the right of the brush size.

5. Click the small arrow in the top right of the interface (or small gear).

6. Select 'Load Brushes' and navigate to your custom brush file.

7. After loading the brush you should now see it at the bottom of your brush library.
