Are you ready for a challenge? 

How well can you follow instructions?  In this activity, you will plan and create create a design that includes specific skills and elements outlined on the activity sheet.  Your ability to meet the requirements based on the instructions provided will determine your success.  

As for the design, a magazine cover provides an excellent standard of layout, image and text use, as well as an awareness of colour themes.  

Like all projects in CommTech, a successful approach will involve looking at examples, devising a solid plan, and attending to the details.  Good luck!

Tips to Get You Started

Tip #1 - Review the Rubric  

​This is an activity that is about handling the requirements.  Review the list provided and make sure you understand what is to be included on your magazine.  
Tip #2 - Look Around 

Whether it is the student example page or professional examples you find online, look around for ideas regarding layout, element use, and the details of a magazine.  
Tip #3 - Make A Plan 

Using your list of requirements and any examples that have inspired your idea, create a sketch plan that includes labels of required elements.   
Tip #4 - Review 

Before you submit your final magazine, review the rubric and use the checklist provided to ensure you have all the requirements.
