Taking Care of Business

Let's Get Down to Business!

Some knowledge in design and skills in Photoshop will be more than handy for any young entrepreneur.

In this project, you will use Photoshop to create a print advertisement for a business of your choice.  The business can either be your own or one that already exists.

To get started,  looking at examples and paying attention to how all the separate elements (colour, image, text) and the layout of them, are communicating the ad's message, is a great start!

Tips to Get You Started

Tip #1 - Go Pro

Whether its in the class, online, or both, use a bunch of different examples to inspire your ideas.  Look closely at the details.
Tip #2 - Review the Rubric

This Photoshop rubric is a little different than the ones before it.  Review it to understand it.  And if you don't understand, ask.
Tip #3 - Edit Your Ideas

Once you feel you have both designs done, play around with them. Make small changes to see big results.
Tip #4 - Get Feedback

Rely on your CommTech community to help you pick the right letter spacing for your logo or the correct wording of that print ad slogan.
