Fact or Fiction

"Well class, was that FACT or FICTION!?"

Do animals from different countries have accents?  Was a war actually started over Tootsie Rolls?  These questions and more are to be answered during Fact or Fiction, an activity where students tell a story in 2-3 minutes and the class has to decide whether it is fact or fiction.

So gather your best skills of persuasion, pack your Google Slides, and a topic that is too unbelievable to be true...or is it?

Tips to Get You Started

Tip #1 - True or false?

First thing you need to do is decide whether you want to tell the a story of fact or fiction.
Tip #2 - Use Examples Provided

As this assignment has a few key ingredients, from a polished, well-structured script to slick slides to help support and strengthen our storytelling, be sure to use the examples provided for inspiration and ideas.
Tip #3 - Practice, Get Ready

Your last step is practice!  Rehearsing your script to a friend, family member or even in the mirror will help work out all the small details of your lecture.  A timer is also a strong asset to have as you time out your lecture.  Once done, you are ready to present your Fact or Fiction to your CommTech audience!
