Adding Plug-Ins

How to?

By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to install plug-ins. Plug-ins can greatly enhance your productions as they allow you have certain features that don't exist in Photoshop. Just like fonts, there is a workaround to let you install these plug-ins on a school computer.

Plug-In Example

Instructions.

1. Download your plug-in under Resources. Some plug-ins require installation on their own as well as you installing the plug-in, like this plug-in, 3D Shadow.

2. Right click your Desktop, click New, click Shortcut, type in "C:\".

3. [OPTIONAL] 
If your plug-in required installation, then navigate to the folder you installed it to and copy the plug-in (.8bf or .8bi) file.

4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe and there should be a plug-in folder.

5. Copy your plug-in file to the folder where there are other plug-in files (File Formats).

6. Your plug-in should show up under Filter.
