YouTube Live!

"Today we're going to teach you...!"

One of the main reasons YouTube is so popular is its collection of Do-It-Yourself videos.  Millions of videos are produced every year with the intent to help others learn new skills in a variety of subjects.  On the other end, "YouTube teachers" must be organized, informed, and enthusiastic with their subject in order to gain interest and viewers.

With that in mind, YouTube Live asks students to deliver a workshop to the class to teach new skills and explore learning in a variety of subjects.

Tips to Get You Started

Tip #1 - Know Your Skills

When coming up with a workshop topic, think of what you might be good at and what interests you.  It will make you more confident and enthusiastic in your delivery.
Tip #2 - Plan Accordingly

As you plan your workshop, think of the resources you will need, the timeline of events for your workshop, and the roles of each group member as prepare.
Tip #3 - Timing is (Almost) Everything

Only by rehearsing will you get a sense of timing for your workshop.  Once your plan and resources are complete, rehearse using a timer and allow for participation time in your rehearsal.
Tip #4 - Be Enthusiastic

Don't talk in a monotone voice throughout the entire presentation. Have a fun and excited voice, it really helps!
